English club Arsenal announced the extension of the contract of one of its players, through an official statement published by the club via its official website on Thursday. Arsenal, led by coach Mikel Arteta, is working on identifying the priorities of the team as the end of the current season and the beginning of the summer transfer window approaches.
The official statement said that the contract of the Italian midfielder Georginio was extended, as an agreement was reached to extend the contract for an additional year until June 2025 Georginio joined Arsenal from Chelsea in January 2023, and since then he has made more than 50 appearances in all competitions.
"I'm really happy to stay, because it's a great honor to be part of this family, my family is happy, we are settling in really well and I feel I have more to do,"Jorginho told Arsenal's official website.
"I try to give everything I can from myself to everyone around me, sometimes it can be a hug, sometimes it can be words, sometimes I show them something, so I just try to help as much as I can in any situation, I feel that everyone here can count on me, I will always be there for them,"added Jorginho.
Head coach Mikel Arteta commented: "We are delighted that Georgi has signed a new contract with us, he is an important part of our team, a role model with great leadership skills and a unique ability to play style that makes everyone around him better on the pitch.
